"Hi -
About how many hands are in the database? Is it still running now?
Normally the update doesn't take too long, a few hours usually, but for large databases with well more than a million hands it could take up to a couple days to complete.
If your database is considerably smaller than that and it's still running it sounds like there may have been a pre-existing issue in the database which the update has uncovered and led to this trouble. If you have all your hand history files for reimporting you could do this:
1. Reboot using Windows "Start -> Reboot" (not the computer case buttons). The PokerTracker4 window itself may refuse to close but it should be safe to force it to close.
2. When restarting PokerTracker4 after rebooting answer "No" if it prompts you to update the database.
3. Click "Database -> Database Management", "New", "Create", select your new database and click both "Set Default" and "Set Active" buttons so that the new database has "Default" and "Active" next to it.
4. Click "Configure -> Site & Import Options -> Preferences" and make sure the "Databases" boxes both have "Current Active Database" in them.
5. Click "HUD -> Edit HUD Options -> General Settings -> Advanced", remove the check mark by the old database and add a check mark for the new one. This is where you tell PokerTracker4 which database(s) to use for HUD stats.
Once that's done I would try things out to make sure it's working ok. Then at some point you can manually reimport your hands by clicking "Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk -> Select Directory" and navigate to/select where they are, probably here:
C:\Users\some_name\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed
Let me know if you have any trouble.
